Magic Ring – A Fuzzy Bee Tutorial
The ‘Magic Ring’, or ‘Magic Loop’ is a technique used as an alternative to the traditional create-a-chain-loop starting method.
Using a Magic Ring allows you to pull the starting round completely closed, eliminating the gap that you are sometimes left with when using the chain method.
The Magic Ring method works particularly well for toys and dolls, and other small crochet items that are worked in the round.
This video tutorial explains how to make a Magic Ring – it assumes a basic knowledge of how to hold your hook, and how to make a UK double crochet.
